Upcycled Plastic and Art by Sammie N
Upcycled Plastic and Art by Sammie N will be taking over the Incubator from February 9 to March 8.
They are a mother and daughter duo who are both very creative in different ways.
Upcycled plastic is run by Nicola Garlick who has always had an overactive imagination and the ability to do something about it.
Nicola has dabbled in many different crafts and is passionate about the environment. In 2018 Nicola started working with melting plastic, giving plastic that was destined for landfill like milk bottle lids, a new life. Through a process of recycling, bottle lids are collected, sorted, cleaned, shredded and melted into bespoke creations. Upcycled plastic offers a diverse range of products, including beaded bracelets, beautifully marbled plant pots, unique wall art pieces and sculptures designed for both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Art by Sammie N is run by Samantha Neighbours who is an artist that started drawing with dots early 2018. When we say dots, we mean tiny little dots from the tip of a fineliner pen. This technique is also known as stippling or pointalism. Samantha uses a range of colours or black pens, to create very detailed artworks that are mostly inspired by her favourite things or things around her. Often Samantha’s artwork needs to be seen in real life to understand the detail that goes into each piece.
Together, we celebrate creativity in two very unique forms, and a shared passion for creating.
