As the weather cools, here’s something a little different arriving in the city.
Ocean Ember Sauna is popping up at 110 Cashel St, transforming the vacant site into a wood-fired Scandinavian sauna experience in the heart of Ōtautahi.
Started by friends Saya and Owain, Ocean Ember was created to bring people together through shared sauna — grounded in community, care and connection. Step into the heat of the real wood-fire sauna, cool off with cold showers or a plunge, then take a moment to pause with a cup of tea in the chill-out space.
Whether you're looking to relax, reflect or connect with others, you’ll likely leave feeling better than when you arrived.
