About the project
Garden City 2.0 started it’s FoodBag delivery in May 2013 with a vision of growing a more resilient local food system. As at November 2014, they had delivered over 5000 orders to people all over Christchurch and have over a dozen pickup points around the City. Their Fresh Produce Market in Sumner operated from a LIVS space on Nayland St every Wednesday from 2.30pm-6.30pm during 2015-16.
Wow so fresh
Bailey and his partner Michelle profile the farms and tell stories about the produce. “When people are in the shop we’ll talk to them for as long as they’ll listen, we’re just like these excitable little kids, we’ve got all this news and we barely feel like we’re scratching the surface.”
