Kōrero in the City (previously Red Chair Chats) is an annual project run as part of the Christchurch Heritage Festival for the last 5 years.

It is an interactive installation where you can join us for a ‘casual kōrero’. We invite you to share your stories and experiences, come into our space, sit down and tell your story.

We will also activate the space and surrounding area with games and activities. This builds upon the Te Kōrero Tākaro / Stories of Play project, a collaboration between Incommon, Gapfiller and Our Stories. This will develop a cross-cultural understanding through shared experiences of play.

Humans of Christchurch will have a visual display of past stories on show and InCommon will display their Inclusivity Posters to highlight the diverse communities in our city and the connections between us all.

This event is a collaboration between Humans of Christchurch Ōtautahi, InCommon, Gapfiller and Our Stories Project.
