Hassals Lane Community Hub

Location: Hassals Lane, Waltham

Date: 2018

Our Role: LiVS licensed the space and makes it available to creatives and community groups

A community hub based in Waltham.

Hassals Lane was made available to LiVS in late 2018. It was previously used by Ara as the site for their Horticulture and Viticulture courses. It was then used by the Seven Oaks School until 2017. The spaces sat vacant, growing wilder everyday with just a few passionate locals trying to keep the property under control.
LiVS took on a rolling licence and has since made the space available to over 10 individual creatives, Free Theatre, Nature Play (a bush kindergarten initiate) and several other community groups. We've supported several working bees and continue to see the outside spaces tamed and become available for additional community users.
