Property Owners

Bring your Property Back to Life Today

Life in Vacant Spaces (LiVS) is making use of property like yours to bring temporary, creative and entrepreneurial life back to the city. We understand that your property is a valuable asset and want to keep it that way, by activating it temporarily, while you work through future plans

Allowing a temporary project on site will:

1. reduce your property upkeep
2. boost foot traffic to the area, helping you to maintain its value and appeal
3. help to reduce graffiti and crime
4. enhance community good will, solidarity and prosperity

Simplifying Temporary Use

LiVS reduces the risk and hassle of making your property available for temporary use. Whether you make available land, building, wall, window or shop front, we:

  • use a simple Licence Agreement with rolling term
  • ensure projects hold $2million of Public Liability insurance
  • operate Participation Agreements with project partners, reviewing sites to ensure compliance with Licence terms
  • ensure basic property maintenance

Licence Term

The Life in Vacant Spaces Licence Agreement, designed by Buddle Findlay, is straightforward and includes a simple schedule where property owners can specify terms of use. Your involvement can be short or long term, from a few days to months or years. Currently, the most popular terms are one year with a rolling 30-day notice period.
