The Jewelry Box

91 Hereford Street

The Jewelry Box is a collaboration between the builders of the Microhouse, Corazon Craft and Tiki Kiwi Designs.

About this project

The Microhouse has been used in various forms and is currently inhabited by The Jewelry Box Pop Up Shop. The transportable microhouse was designed and built by Richard Lorgelly and Jonathon Edwards. The Jewelry Box is open throughout the week and is the host site for craft markets, including the Pay-It-Forward market.

Corazon Craft is run by Cora Baillie and features her own designs. The jewellery - earrings, necklaces, bracelets and cuffs - is hand-crafted from sterling silver wire and solid sterling silver. Some pieces also use gemstone beads, greenstone and paua, recycled copper, recovered computer parts and flameworked glass beads.

Tiki Kiwi Designs is run by Sonia Mcnamus and features jewelry
made from recycled, renewed and repurposed materials whenever possible. Sonia has said that many of the pieces she makes are inspired by the legends, the world-view and the wisdom of her Maori ancestors.
