Faces from the Collection

Many locations

Christchurch Art Gallery (CAG) is repopulating places that have been emptied and dramatically changed.  Across our altered cityscape, portraits from CAG's collection have been selected to appear in vacant lots, on surviving buildings and newly exposed walls.  Let's enjoy a bit of unexpected company as we bring the central city back to life.

About this project

CAG may be temporarily closed but they are bringing their collection to the city streets, allowing an opportunity to discover favourite works in surprising new locations.  Good art makes an immediate and important impact as part of the cultural life of this city and of New Zealand.
