The Alhambra Gardens are located on the corner of New Regent Street and Armagh Street.
Site access and landowner negotiations
Alhambra Gardens are a Spanish-themed garden space uniquely located to complement the architectural style of New Regent Street. The garden was developed and built as a collaboration between landscape architect Robert Watson and the Canterbury Horticultural Society (CHS).
The garden is meant to serve as an inner city oasis of exotic trees and plants. CHS hopes to create a peaceful space for Cantabrians to reconnect with the central city.
